| Description |
Use computer software to explore drafting techniques that are time consuming to do by hand. After entering a weave draft, you can add repeats, colors, and borders. Then let the software count heddles and the number of warp ends/colors needed; rearrange the treadling as desired. Keep records and do yarn calculations in the program. Try different tie-ups, block substitutions and color sequences. Tromp-as-writ, wrap treadlings, combine draft parts, and fold for double weave are some of the tools that make using weaving software a fascination and pleasure. |
