Directions and parking: Smith College, Northampton, MA

Parking:

There will be SHORT-TERM parking available next to the Campus Center for registration. Limited on-street parking may also be available on Elm Street (Route 9.)  Parking permits for Smith will be issued at registration. Your parking permit will indicate specific locations where parking is permitted. Parking regulations are STRICTLY ENFORCED by both Smith and the city of Northampton. Please observe any posted parking information. There is limited parking near the dorms. It is strongly suggested that you use the Smith Parking Garage for overnight or all-day parking. NEWS will be charged for any outstanding fines issued by Smith.

Handicapped parking spaces are available throughout the campus and the city. Parking in them is limited to vehicles with handicapped plates or official, portable permits.

Directions to Smith College:

From the East or West via the Massachusetts Turnpike:
Take Mass Pike to I-91 North (exit 4). I-91 North to Exit 18. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Route 5. Continue on Route 5 into the center of town. Turn left onto Route 9. Go straight through four traffic lights, turning left into Smith’s main entrance (College Lane) shortly after the fourth set of lights.  Short-term parking for Campus Center is the second left.

From Bradley International Airport and points South:
I-91 North to Exit 18, then follow directions above.

From the North:
I-91 South to Exit 20, and follow onto Route 5 south into the center of town. At the intersection of Route 5 and Route 9 (Main Street), turn right onto Route 9 and follow the directions above.
